Imlil is a mountain village that serves as a starting point for treks to Jbel Toubkal, the highest mountain in Northern Africa. After spending time in the crowded heat of Marrakesh , you’ll breathe a deep, fresh sigh of relief of crisp mountain air here. Imlil and the mountains surrounding the village serve as a lovely little escape from the bustle of the city.

Along the way to Imlil, there is Tahanaout and Asni. These villages, closer to Marrakesh , showcase a landscape, architecture and history that often times is forgotten in the cityscape.  You’ll see beautiful gardens of orange trees, lemon trees and olive groves and see the beautiful goods so readily displayed in the souks in the hands of their makers

ITINERARY

Your private tour to Imlil begins with a pick-up from your hotel any time you like. You’ll journey into the Hight Atlas Mountains where you can enjoy the landscape of mountain streams, colored rock cliffs and valleys. Along the way, you will visit the Berber villages of Tahanaout and Asni.

Once in Imlil, you can hire a local guide to show you the views of ancient irrigated terrace fields of barley, corn ,and vegetables surrounded by cherry and walnut trees. You can also hire a mule to trek through the terrain. You can also visit one of the locals Berber houses and learn how the locals live in this beautiful place.

The duration of your tour depends on your choice.

And you can chose to have lunch in a restaurant or in a Berber house with a local family.

At the end of the tour you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Marrakesh.
